Can we presume you know the limpkin? There are several limpkins now in residence at Wakodahatchee. Here is a picture of an adult.
Sorry it is not a profile but I'll try to get a broadside picture up if no one else jumps in here and helps out.
Not sure that bird fits all the details. But if you saw a limpkin you would know by the call what it was...as erie a call as you will ever hear.
