The name change is due to a split. I think it dates to Feare & Craig's 1998 Helm guide (Starlings and Mynas). The ones in Miami are Common Hill Myna (not Sri Lanka, Southern, Nias, or Enggano) The split is not universally recognized. In particular, AOU/ABA don't recognize the split and still use Hill Myna.
