I birded my place with Audrey Whitlock and we flushed a Chuck-Will's-Widow during our searching. The high winds kept most of the birds quiet and subdued, but we managed to get good looks at the Chuck. When flushed, the bird didn't go far and stayed in the lower vegetation, probably to stay out of the wind.
I had a resident Chuck at my place 2 years ago and an wondering if it was the same one, or do they just like it here.
