The only explanation I can think of is that the sunlight was hitting the bird at just the right angle to cause it to appear yellow. The green iridescent feathers on Ruby-throated Hummingbirds is certainly capable of looking quite yellow at some angles, although I am not sure I would equate it to the sunshine yellow of Prairie Warbler.

There aren't any hummingbirds in the United States with extensive yellow coloration. Extending that out even further, out of hundreds of hummingbird species in the Americas, I can't think of many with extensive yellow coloration. Green, white, brown, black, blue, violet, red, and even orange are very common but shades of yellow are pretty rare.
