I don't know about Matheson 'stinking'... I have recorded 138 species there in just three years of birding, including 28 warbler species, 12 shorebird species, Thick-billed Vireo, Seaside Sparrow, and Brown-crested Flycatcher...

Historically, it has also had La Sagra's Flycatcher and Key West Quail-Dove...
