Just to throw this out there, could these 3 birds have been Ceruleans? They can look a little Blackpoll-ish from underneath, and they had 6 Ceruleans show up at Ft. D around the same time. I would never expect a Blackpoll in August, but then again, I don't expect anything anymore!
