Three Black-polled Warblers were at Arch Creek Park today likely due to the strong off-shore enfluences of Hurricane Irene. The BP warblers were in various stages of fall plumages and studied for 20-30 minutes while they fed in an Strangler fig. Also present were Yellow-throated, Paula, Americna Redstarts, Worm-eating, and Black & White Warblers. A Northern Waterthrush was feeding along the creek. Ovenbirds were in the park earlier in the week.
