Warblers were everywhere after the rains ended this afternoon at Bill Baggs State Park. Black-throated Blue, American Redstart, Palm, and Common Yellowthroat were the most common, with easily over 100 of each seen. There were also good numbers(20+)of Black-and-white and Cape May, lesser numbers (5-10) of Blackpoll, Northern Waterthrush, Ovenbird and Northern Parula, but only two Prairie and one Worm-eating. The only other migrants seen were two Yellow-billed Cuckoo (at the youth camp) and a male Painted Bunting (on the bike path), plus a Merlin at the lighthouse.
