This morning Stefan Schlick and I had a decent variety of warblers before getting rained out, but not the numbers. Also: Chimney Swift, Common Nighthawk, Peregrine Falcon and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

When I returned from 6:45-7:30 PM, there was a pileup of warblers along the bike path and next to the bay. Most were feeding on the ground (including Black-and-whites) and seemed to have just arrived. The short section of the bike path that I birded had large numbers also. At one point there were 3 Northern Waterthrushes and 2 Ovenbirds within one binocular view -- with numerous other warblers flitting about. There were also 3 Painted Buntings.
