OK... but why white on the rump of a Short-tailed hawk? My first impression was short-tailed then we saw white on the rump... The bill seemed really hooked and it Kited often. I guess in the breezy conditions a short-tailed would have taken opportunity to kite as well.
Had to be there I guess.
