I guess it is possible but I took lots of really bad photos over about a 15 minute period.... The white patch on the rump did seem small. Maybe it was an leucistic anomaly. Visually the hook on the bill looked larger in our minds, probably due to thinking it was a Snail Kite.
After looking through all of my images only one shows just a little of the white on the rump from the side.No banking shots.... The bill looks good for Short-tailed and what I thought were orange legs are more yellow than orange.

When I get to my computer I'll correct the label and my records.
