This morning, I visited Aerojet Wildlife Management Area; that's how Google maps refers to the area that includes the C357 sparrow fields on SW 168 Street in the East Everglades. Frankly, I prefer this name to C357 sparrow fields, so unless I'm convinced otherwise, that's how I will refer to this area from now on. Considering that no one refers to Lucky Hammock or the Annex by their real names (Frog Pond WMA/Southern Glades WEA), it's doubtful that Aerojet WMA will catch on, but it's worth a try.
A White-tailed Kite was once again present this morning, perched on a snag beyond the west end berm. I found three Grasshopper Sparrows among the many Savannah, but except for heard Eastern Towhees, could not find any other sparrows.
