If the bird is a Greater Ani, it would have to be a juvenile bird as the 'casque' on the beak is not quite as well developed as the birds I observed in Ecuador (where they are abundant east of the Andes, but do wander with isolated populations in the Pacific lowlands). The closest photo I can find in terms of bill shape was this one:

There are only two records, as far as I know, west of Panama (in the Tortuguero area of Costa Rica), both of which occurred only in the past ten years. I am not sure of their status in the Caribbean outside being present on Trinidad. In summary, this would be quite a far flung ani!
