I found a flock of about 40-ducks in the rock pit in south Miami-Dade. In the flock were 6 male Redheads and about 4 female Redheads. Also of more importance, were two male Greater Scaup along with perhaps some females as well as Lesser Scaup male and female and Ring-necked Ducks.

The rock pit is located on s.w. 107 ave. south of s.w. 268 st. The birds were close to the road when I first saw them, they then moved father out on the lake. They were about midway on the lake as you are driving south. Roberto and Trey went by about an hour later but found fewer ducks. There is construction going on along the edges, that may have scared some of them away.
