Those early Cedar Waxwings may be of some sort of indication for things to come. Over here in the Western Panhandle, we are seeing our first American Goldfinches. I did have a Red-breasted Nuthatch two weeks ago and a Long-tailed Duck today. You may be right: head north. I will be back in Miami Wednesday but then heading north to Pone Inlet for that Thayer's Gull.
