Thanks Brian. It's strange that no swamphen has yet been known to disperse southward, even though there must be lots of suitable habitat. Similar to Eurasian Collared-Doves in North America, swamphens in Florida are mostly moving in a westerly-to-northerly direction.

I just received photographs of a blue-headed Purple Swamphen at Bermuda, but its provenance is unknown.

I'm waiting for the first swamphen to be found in the Bahamas.
