From 2004 to 2008, Susan Schneider surveyed for NAMCs the eastern edge of Taylor/Everglades WMA, from the Krome Avenue/Tamiami Trail intersection to Ochechobee Road near the Miami-Dade/Broward line. She was kind enough to send me a spreadsheet of her data before she moved to California. Never once did she report even a single Purple Swamphen in the areas she surveyed.
