We see Swamphens on the county line of Broward/Dade all the time but come to think about it we have never seen them on the other side of the street which would be the Dade county side of the road. There is a nice marsh integrated into a housing community where we see them regularly.
Attached is a Google Earth image of the location, the canal to the left hand side of the image is on the Dade side but the marsh on the right is in Broward.
