Very birdy day at Torry Island today.
Thousands of swallows-mostly tree. I'm having a hard time distinguishing swallows on the wing--especially juv. tree swallows and rough-wings. Any suggestions?
In addition there were large numbers of moorhens, rw blackbirds, palm warblers, common yellowthroats (singing), grackles, wading birds, savannah sparrows. Did I mention THOUSANDS of swallows? Higlights for me were two each of indigo and painted bunting. They seemed to like the castor bean. Yellow-throated warbler. Okeechobee gourd.
A great day to be in the Glades!
