I heard from Angel and Mariel that someone had seen a Crested Caracara on Mt. Trashmore (active landfill on 248 St.) so I went yesterday around 4:00 pm. Looking from the 97 Ave. side in front of "Gate C", the Caracara flew in front of me and landed on a pile of boulders about 250 ft. away. Trey later saw it flying around the top of the landfill.

There were only a few gulls at Cutler Wetlands, with no sign of the Black-headed. This morning, Trey called to say he found a Bonaparte's and no Black-headed, but there were a lot of gulls and he was still checking. It's still around I'm sure, but if it's in the sewage plant or landfill, we won't see it. Need it to return to Cutler Wetlands. Anyone have a gull feeder we could put out?
