: I am here in Naples right now posting what I have seen today. I will be here until Sunday. So far I have 55 birds, including a lifer. I started out with Miami birds that could not be found in Naples: Spot-breasted Oriole, Common Myna, Orange-winged Parrot, and Yellow-chevroned, White-winged, and Monk Parakeets. I also got White-winged Dove. Along the Tamiami, many waders were found, anhinga, cormorants, both vultures, killdeer, red-shouldered hawk, shrik, barn swallow, 2
: white-eyed vireos singing very pretty.

: In Naples, 8+ Swallow-tailed Kite, Brown Thrashers, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Gray Kingbird, Snowy egret, Willet, Least Terns and Great-crested Flycatchers.
: I also got my lifer on Tarpon Drive where I found plenty of Rose-ringed Parakeet. Thanks to Vince and Mrs. Hout for the great help and directions.

: Right now I am in a house in the wilderness listening to the Chuck-will's Widow call. Ahhh, I love Naples.

Hey Alex,

Thanks for the report. Glad you got to see the Rose-ringed Parakeets. Were there any other psittacids you saw with them? Next time you're over this way, give me a call and i'll take you around to see some other birds and birding areas. naples does have some good birding (if you know where to look). It's best in the winter of course.

Cheers!
