I may not come over this way for a while since our friends are moving back to Miami by the end of Summer, but I may come back this way for some good specialties. I want to come over for the shorebirds that winter here: Marbled Godwit, Western Sandpiper, Whimbrel, Long-billed Curlew, and the year-round Snowy Plovers.I may see the Plovers at Tigertail today before leaving. No there were not any other parrots around. No aratinga species or Monk Parakeets with the Rose-ringed Parakeets. I also saw the Rose-ringed Parakeets at a Gulf Course along the Tamiami Trail and NW 10 Avenue. I am not sure if that was the right avenue, but there were a couple in the Australian Pines. If I do come back over I will e-mail you about the birding trip. So far I have 61 birds on this trip. I also want to visit Briggs for the jays and Florida race Eastern Towhee, which I do not have. I have the nominate race towhee from North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Thanks for the help.
