The last two night I've been out Owling at sunset in the vicinity of Dump Marsh and the landfill with pretty good results. Last night I took the family out and am proud to say that my 9-year old daughter was the first to spot her life Barn Owl around 5:45 pm. She quickly called it out while I was looking in the opposite direction. There were at least two Barn Owls last night. The previous night I also found a Great-horned and a Barred that buzzed me, while a Barn flew right up to within 10 feet of me before changing course. Also seen were a Bobcat and a few bats.
