Looking for a little advice please.

Hello,

I am a serious amateur bird photographer from Milwaukee coming for a brief 4 day visit to Hollywood 11/24-11/27. Are there any good photo ops this time of year and is it worth it to haul my gear down there (flying) - mainly lenses 500mm f/4.0L etc... I really only have only one full day to shoot (wife gave me one day as this is supposed to be one of the quality time together trips) I am willing to get up very very early and drive a few hours and can hike long distances if that info helps. I also don't mind just birding but my true love is photography so I am not willing to get up and drive too far if the camera isn't involved - no offense birders :)
