To answer the "Grebes" posting, the birders and photograghers have been considerate of the babies and the babies are about ready to fledge. This reminds me of the Pileated Woodpecker nest at Flamingo last spring. 500 birders and photograghers watched for 8 weeks as three babies fledged and only with one baby in the nest, about to fledge, did a non-informed Ranger, with a power conplex, state that the two of us were disturbing the wildlife. If I sound bitter, it is because I still am. If it was up to some people, all parks and refuges would be closed to all public access except for the few government amployees! Any comments?
