The rules at the Yamato Scrub are that you are to stay on the marked trails so as not to trample even small upcoming scrub type vegetation. While I have been known to wonder up one of the old roads for example the West side of the ponds, anyone who is trampling vegetation is clearly breaking the rules. And this is not an ethics call, this is the rules of the nature area. As said earlier, the natural areas are trying to find a balance of allowing access and protecting the "environment" of the park.

Please be very cognizant of where your feet are when you are at the Yamato Scrub! If you can't get the picture, then come back again!
