It's always about Everglades restoration, and in the process they leave out a bunch of habitats and a bunch more species. Where are migratory birds addressed in Everglades Restoration? All I'm saying is ag fields are the only shorebird habitat left outside of the southern tip of the state, and that's no good for freshwater or inland species. Without ag in South Florida, there will be no shorebird habitat left in our area. Will this affect the migrating shorebirds? Who knows, but it might. Instead of stopping in South Florida, they'll have to continue to places like Aruba (where they get shot!). In looking at the big picture, we can't forget about all the little pictures we may lose in between. With so much effort placed on Everglades Restoration, I'm more concerned now about everything else that will be left out of the process.
