Not to make any sense or anything, but haven't the EAAs concentrated the shorebirds into viewable areas, whereas returning the area(s) to a more natural Everglades state would simply disperse the shorebirds to the edges of wide spread hammock islands, canal banks and such... they would still be there, but not so obviously "seen".
