This morning, two members of the Underground Holistic Birding Movement (David LaPuma and Rafael) and two members of the Coast-2-Coast Birders (Albert G. and myself) entered the grounds of A.D. Barnes and spotted some beauties:
Bay-breasted Warbler (still there baby!) and Blackburnian Warbler (with the help of some birders whose names I didn't get...thanks again guys if you read this posting!). Both of these were spotted from the boardwalk in the trail were Michelle initially saw the Bay-breasted.
Prior to seeing these birds, we spotted a thrush by the SE section next to the picnic table. Since the light of day was still poor, there was some debate about whether the thrush was Swainson's or gray-cheeked...we finally agreed on Swainson's.
After the warblers, a beautiful Summer Tanager was observed singing and being chased by cardinals. The tanager gave us great poses. Four lifers for me!
Later that morning, David and Rafael went on to Bill Baggs, Albert went home, and I left the park to go to the Wings of Asia grand opening with my girlfriend.
That was great too...but that's another story.

Cheers,
Raul
