hi, Joan! i don't think you'll have any problem using a wheelchair at either Wakodahatchee or Green Cay. i've seen many visitors with wheelchairs and walkers, even recovering stroke patients doing walk therapy, there at each site. I do not believe wheelchairs are available for loan at Wako., since there is no nearby office facility per se, and do not know whether they might have a loaner at Green Cay, although you might contact the office there (limited hours), since that is not a bad suggestion. Green Cay has a longer network of walks than Wako., but both sites have gently sloping ramps, are very flat, have shorter loops that you can take, and most stretches of wood boardwalks there have railings. It can be very sunny so wear a good hat and use sunscreen. I would say they are both sites extremely accessible to seniors and folks with a wide range of physical impairment. Regarding use of a scope, i don't think a scope is necessary and binoculars should be sufficient, if carrying heavy objects would be uncomfortable. The birds at times are extremely close at each site. Green Cay has some longer vistas in places where a scope might be nice, but i have never lugged my scope around at either site, and never regretted leaving it behind. Many times, you won't even need bins when the birds are only several meters away. Good luck! I think you'll want to return to each of these 2 sites after you've visited the first time. -ken
