Hello, everybody I decided from last post that I was going to make my own nest box. I made it with the dimensions for a red-bellied woodpecker. I put it on a ficus tree about an acre away from a pair of red-bellied woodpeckers how have already started building on their cavity. I think I put the nest box too late for a woodpecker to nest on it. Does anyone know if a pair of any bird might still go visit the nest box. I'm really excited about it. Oh, today I saw an immature red-shouldered hawk that also looked like a prairie falcon. I don't know what it was. I have seen two pairs of blue jays building their nest. A pair of cardinals are starting to feed their chicks. Well I hope a pair of any bird at least go to my nest box. Please someone reply.
