While looking through the posts of the recent Virginia Key GBH sightings, I noticed there was some misinformation, so I thought I would make the correction:
The AOU recently split the Cuban Black-Hawk (Buteogallus gundlachii) from the Common Black-Hawk (Buteogallus anthracinus) and not from the Great Black-Hawk (Buteogallus urubitinga), which is found only in Central and South America...and in Virginia Key.
