Hi Jeff

Last night I spent a good amount of time trying to ID the lizards that Rafael and us observed yesterday. After looking through many different sources we came up with the same species, (Ameiva Ameiva)or the giant Ameiva. Seems like you can buy one online, then we wonder were they came from.
The lizards run very quickly and dissapear in the leaf litter. We observed the Ameivas running bipedally. The have awesome colors and are irredesent in the sun.
Well just another invasive species in our melting pot.
We were wondering on what effects these reptiles have the Cape. We figure that if they can climb they can eat bird eggs, or how they are competing with the resident species of reptiles in the park. I believe that they eat other snakes and frogs. Hopefullly the State can do something about this. Here is a pic of these lizards.
