I admit it.
I am crazy about Swallowtail kites-cuckoo for cocoa puffs, swooning at the sight of a forked tail crazy.
Last year I stood in a local parking lot with fellow kooks every weekend watching two pairs of urban kites nesting.
This year I spent two weeks of vacation sitting in the Royal Palm parking lot waiting for the kites to swoop in and grab moss.
Last weekend , Eagle eye and I drove up to Lake O in hopes of finding some of the kites that roost there.
We had a great time watching kites hunting over houses in Clewiston.
So yesterday when Eagle Eye mentioned she had seen 4 kites perched in a tree near Lucky Hammock, I knew I had to get over there.
So this morning we went and parked near lucky hammock and waited.
We were duly rewarded by more than thirty five kites hunting in the sky.
