Well, being a Nikon brat,I have to chime in here-half the battle is just showing up at the right time!!!
You can ask Al Forns and Fabs from Naturescapes about the day we were all decked out in camera gear waiting for the SWTKs and while we were shooting furiously with our Nikons and Canons, this biker guy took a shot with his puny little point and shoot Sony.
I overheard him talking to his friend and asked to see his "capture" after the excitement was over.
Turns out he had managed to get a killer, tack sharp shot of TWO SWTKs in the full frame-something we couldn't do with either a 500 canon nor my 80-400 nikon.
