I missed Brian's trip to 3lakes this year due to the LOKI in Key Weird.
Now that our local birds are practically invisible ( I have a brown thrasher in the yard and rescued a cattle egret from the screen room tho)in the yard and environs, I have been wondering if it is worth it to head up to 3Lakes or elsewhere for just one more bird.
Then my evil sister calls and regales me about the prothonatories , red cockaded WPs and the bear that may or may not try to eat her on a path in the Alligator River Refuge in NC .
Top that off with the 2 Ts running off to Babcock Webb and getting more cool looks and pictures and I feel the need for a road trip.
Anybody got ideas for a day trip? (it can be a loong day)
Is Joe Overstreet worthwhile this time of year?
Is Oscar Scheerer park the closest place for scrub jays?
