I headed up to Government Rd and arrived a little before sunrise, so I filled up my vehicle, grabbed caffeine and headed out looking for Caracara and whatever else I could find. It was a nice morning, but the road was busier than I remember on past visits.

Day list:

Government Rd.

American Coot
Moorhen
Little Blue Heron
Green Heron
Blue-winged Teal
Caracara 12
Red-shouldered Hawk
Red-tailed Hawk
Swainson's Hawk
Swamp Sparrow
Least Bittern
Limpkin
Cattle Egret
Great Blue Heron
Wood Stork
Great Egret
Mottled Duck
Belted Kingfisher
American Kestrel
Mockingbird
Cardinal
Shrike
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
Western Kingbird
Bob-white

STA-5 at the gate

Purple Swamphen Life bird
Ring-necked Duck
Lesser Scaup

The TAS trip this weekend covers the Government Rd. area I birded today... It should be a good trip.
