Kirby Storter is virtually dry and pretty much dead. A few weeks ago, in the remaining last pool, I did have a Louisian Waterthush that I photographed. There was a probable Northern Waterthrush there as well and very few other birds. I think you'd do better at The Big Cypress bend Boardwalk. In recent weeks (I was there yesterday as well), we've had Northern Waterthrush, Hooded Warbler (still there), Magnolia Warbler (still there), American Redstart (still there) plus the "usuals" as well as nesting Bald Eagles. Another option is birding Oil Pad Road (the only accessible road in the Ten Thousand Islands) which is several miles to the west/northwest on US Rte. 41 from the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk. There is also a Western Tanager here in Naples (reported earlier on the TAS Miami Bird Board by S.P. McCool) along with a photo of the bird. The fellow who owns the feeder where the bird is frequenting is allowing birders to see it.
