I have it on good authority that a Mountain Bluebird has frequented a yard in North Ft. Myers (Lee County). Supposedly, the property owner has photographed the bird and a few others have verified it as being a MOBL. I have not seen the photos nor the bird and information is very sketchy at the moment. I do not know if this was a one-day wonder or not. When I hear more, I will let others know. If verified, this would be Florida's second occurrence of MOBL. The first one was seen in December of 2002 in Everglades National Park. Keep your fingers crossed on this bird!
