brown creeper?

Today I went to Big Cypress and I believe I saw a brown creeper.
It was the size of a wren, with a curved bill and a brown streaked back.
I watched it climb up and down a cypress tree in back of the visitor center. I noticed from the guide books it is not their usual range for them to be this far south.
Is this possible?
