Hi Patty,
A Brown Creeper so far south and so early is pretty unlikely, but not impossible. There may be only three accepted reports south of Lake Okeechobee, the most "recent" in 1963, according to Stevenson and Anderson (1994, The Birdlife of Florida).
One other streak-backed creeping bird that you need to consider is Black-and-white Warbler, which you probably know is a fairly common migrant and winter resident throughout the southern peninsula.
