That area can definitely be sketchy, especially at night. If memory serves, I think two dead bodies (murdered) were found on 232nd Ave in separate incidents around where Lucky Hammock/Annex is in 2013.
That being said, a break-in can happen just about anywhere in Miami. Mine has been broken into several times, including at Barnes.
