1. please baffle your box with sheet metal, painted or otherwise, both below and above the box, to prevent predation.
2. consider cinching the box with wire around the tree for added security.
3. don't forget to add perches/branches for branching young!
... a dangerous birdbox is worse than no birdbox at all...
