A birder/photographer buddy of mine just brought up to my attention that the American KestrelI have reported here a few days ago (and to Ebird as well) might be a SOUTHEASTERN American Kestrel (Falco sparverius paulus) a year-round resident. I posted a not-so-great photo of it on my flickr page. It is reported on myfwc.com as have been once distributed as far south as Dade County but now breeds no farther south of Highland and Lee counties.
