The photos are great! For whatever reason, I was able to get considerably closer to the Wood Ducks at times. When the whole group came upon the grass to preen, I could not have been more than 35 feet away. I hid behind a palm trunk, but that only partially hid me. They just ignored me--but I did not move from my position while they were there.
