Hi Jeanette. Yesterday, my son and I saw the adult male swimming with two of the ducklings while two other ducklings sunned themselves on a bank.
Later, one duckling accompanied the adult to the more southerly lake.
Finally, three ducklings swam away from the bank area where two of them had been sunning themselves.
The relationships seem fluid.
