Wood Ducks and surprise Northern Waterthrush

Killed two polluting corporations with one bird yesterday, and, after visiting with a friend at the playground, my son and I saw the wood ducks in the north pond of Tropical Park. We were most shocked, however, to see at least one if not three Northern Waterthrush in what I believe are black olives in the horse stable parking lot near the pond.

Noted in the Waterthrush the "dense streaking on breast" and beige under neck of yellow adult type (Sibley). It was working branches of the tree in a most warbler-like manner.
