: Actually, using "transparent" as a foreground color is illegal, leaving it to the browser to make whatever sense it can of the command. IE and Mozilla/Firefox/Camino choose to ignore it, making the text visible. Safari & OmniWeb assume the author meant it (even though it's illegal), and dutifully make the foreground transparent, so you can't see it.
