The problem is that the color for tables has been set to "transparent". Since the text is wrapped in a table, it's invisible.
Actually, using "transparent" as a foreground color is illegal, leaving it to the browser to make whatever sense it can of the command. IE and Mozilla/Firefox/Camino choose to ignore it, making the text visible. Safari & OmniWeb assume the author meant it (even though it's illegal), and dutifully make the foreground transparent, so you can't see it.
Fixing the CSS so that the table color is not transparent will fix the problem.
