: Green heron / imho is green back, formerly known as night heron (taxonomists love name changes)

Green-backed was the name used when they lumped Green and Striated Herons (by the 6th AOU checklist). They were split again by the 7th checklist, and Green Heron is the correct name (for now).

It has only had two official English names: Green Heron and Green-backed Heron. Although people sometimes call it "Little Green", that has never been an official name.

The 3rd checklist moved it from genus Ardea to Butorides.
